For any event, space and atmosphere are key to success and you can be assured that we offer both as standard.

Whether catering for your own private party, or a special event for 300 guests, our rooms are designed to suit all of your requirements. What’s more, the blend of traditional features and modern décor guarantees an interesting setting with an exciting ambience, whatever the occasion.

Our friendly, professional staff will take care of your event, business meeting or family celebration, whether you require a private lunch, three-course dinner, finger buffet or a lavish banquet. If our set menus are not quite what you are looking for, our Head Chef will be happy to discuss and prepare a bespoke menu for you.

Rooms to suit

John Wigan Function Suite

The John Wigan Suite is situated on the ground floor and is the largest of our function rooms and the newest addition to the house, featuring its own private bar and direct access to the patio and gardens. It is suitable for product launches, award ceremonies, weddings, dinner dances or birthday/anniversary parties and will seat up to 300 guests in a formal dining layout.

Lewis Wigan Room

Situated next to the Courtyard Bar and the John Wigan Suite, this room offers a versatile space for dinners and receptions for up to 120 guests.

Morning Room / Garden Room

These rooms can be used as one large function room or as seperate rooms. They overlook the Victorian Verandah and have access to the grounds via the West Lawn. This room boasts some of the best original features of the house, with large windows and an original fireplace, providing an ideal venue for a drinks reception or an informal buffet for up to 100 guests.

The Billiard Room

This is one of the most beautiful rooms in the house and is ideal for smaller events or a luncheon/dinner for up to 48 guests.

The Library

This beautiful room located at the front of Oakwood House is an ideal room for a luncheon or dinner for up to 30 guests.

The Study

The stunning oak panelled Study with seating for up to 10 guests is ideal for a small private luncheon, dinner or executive board meeting..
